The Yavapai Accommodation School District was established in August, 2001 by the Yavapai County Education Service Agency. The school was established as an Arizona Public School District to accommodate high school students throughout Yavapai County who are “at risk” of not completing high school. As of school year 2007, Yavapai County High School has graduated 106 students with an Arizona Public High School diploma.
