Jag: Jobs for Arizona Graduates

Jobs for Arizona's Graduates is a non-profit organization established in 1990 and is affiliated with the national organization, Jobs for America's Graduates. JAG strives to reduce high school drop-out rates, increase graduation rates, increase youth employment rates, and reduce social service costs associated with welfare, legal and unemployment issues.

JAG serves over 10,000 students state wide. JAG works with the help of administrators, teachers, and an in-school advisory committee to identify and work with students who lack the marketable skills that are in demand in today’s labor market. JAG works with these students to help them overcome the academic, personal, and/or vocational barriers to their success.

The JAG curriculum focuses on 37 employability competencies in the areas of career development, job attainment, job survival, basic skills, leadership and self development, and interpersonal skills. Everything in the JAG curriculum is relevant to work, the community, and life.
